Insurance and Qualifications
At Mountains to Water all our staff and instructors are covered by professional indemnity insurance so you are fully covered in the event of accident or injury during our activities.
In the UK there is no requirement for an outdoor company to hold any qualifications unless they are operating with persons under 18 years old.
However, we strongly believe that this is an inadequate state of affairs and therefore only employ appropriately qualified instructors who hold current and up to date national governing body awards. All our guides hold a first aid qualification and hold one or more of the following qualifications designed for professionals working in the outdoor industry.

- International Mountain Leader (IML)
- Mountain Instructor (MIA & MIC)
- Winter Mountain Leader (WML)
- Summer Mountain Leader (SML)
- Single Pitch Award (SPA)
- Walking Group Leader (WGL)
- British Canoe Union Coaching Levels 1-5
- Swift Water Rescue Technician
- RYA Power Boat
- RYA Safety Boat
