Our Canoe / Kayak Fleet is Expanding!
We have just purchased another canoe trailer and 4 new venture ranger 16ft canoes, this will allow us to have greater flexibility on our challenge events.
New sea kayaks, in addition to our current range of sea kayaks ie Nigel Dennis Explorer singles and doubles, Valley Q-boat and Wilderness systems Tempest. we have added 4 Dagger Alchem, these kayaks are only 14ft long but are still a full sea going kayak, this will help with either novice paddlers or smaller framed people who would normally struggle with the larger 17ft kayaks.

The Snow Has Arrived...
Outstanding!! The coverage of snow and ice over the last few weeks has turned the Lake District and Pennine Hills into a winter play ground, so far we have been able to run our winter skills courses here in the Lakes. The Ice climbing has been fantastic and as for ski touring it has been amazing.

Canoe Adventures In Scotland
Mountains to Water run a number of Canoe Expeditions in Scotland either day trips or overnight wild camps. Our latest trip was paddling Loch Etive with a family group. Don't be put off by the Scottish Midge....... They are not that bad really!! Catching and eating freshly caught fish and mussels while wild camping is a truly outstanding experience.
Alpine Adventures
Mountains to Water has just returned from a great trip to the Swiss Alps, We based ourselves in the Saas Fee area. The group climbed three 4000m peaks (Allalinhorn 4027m, Strahlhorn 4190m & Weissmies 4023m). We also had a couple of days tackling some of the finest Via Ferratas Switzerland has to offer, including Jegihorn 3206m.
New Waterproofs For Clients!
We have just purchased a number of outer shells for our clients, after testing a number of jackets during the winter, we have chosen the Rain Shadow from Patagonia. We found that it's H2No fabric performed the best, being 100% waterproof and breathable.
New Additions To Our Canoe Fleet
We have recently added 2 x Old Town Discovery 174 to our canoe fleet, these will be a great addition as they have three seats, which will give us greater flexibility on some of our events.
